Randall W. DeWitt (Randy) recently served as Dean of the School of Business, CIS, and
Technical Management at DeVry University of South Florida. Currently he serves as CEO of
1394 Productions, Inc., a Film, Television, Music, and Entertainment Production and Consulting
Company.

DeWitt, as the former Director of the School of Entertainment and Design Technology at Miami
Dade College, served as the senior administrator of the School from 2001 until 2005. DeWitt's
responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of the film, television, video, radio production,
computer animation, graphic design, graphic arts, Internet design, photography technology,
technical theatre, commercial music, music business, sound engineering, and sound
reinforcement programs. Projects developed under his supervision or produced by the school
include the Urban Entertainment Conference, the Made in Miami Film Festival, Miami
International Film Festival's REEL Education Seminar Series, CableTAP -Miami's Public Access
Cable Station, E-Latin Grammy Webcasts, Telemundo's Taller: Escritores, and partnerships
with Indiana University Purdue School of Music and the Director's Guild of America.

Prior to Miami Dade College, DeWitt was Director of Education for Mars Music, Inc. and
Supervisor of Music Education for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Mr. DeWitt received the
Bachelor of Music Education Degree from the University of Louisville and Master's of Science in
Music Education from Florida International University where he has additionally studied
advanced topics in educational leadership. With extensive experience in curriculum
development and assessment, he co-authored the Florida Department of Education Music
Certification Exam as a consultant to the Institute for Instructional Research and Practice at
the University of South Florida and co-authored for the Bose Corporation the "In Harmony with
Education" curriculum. In 1999, Mr. DeWitt participated as a committee member, contributing
writer, and presenter on the landmark MENC: Vision 2020 Housewright Symposium.

While at Mars Music, Inc., Mr. DeWitt oversaw 50 schools of music, 15,000 students, 620
music educators, an online education web division, and a music publishing company. Web
properties created under his leadership included interactive web-based music education sites
that have received critical acclaim from the New York Times, CNN.com, Netscape, Yahoo, and
distance learning professional organizations. DeWitt has served as Music Industry Chair to the
Florida Music Educators Association and as Secretary to the board of Dade Cultural Alliance.
DeWitt has been recognized among Who's Who Among Outstanding Americans, received
In-Focus Interactive Magazine Leadership and Visionary Award, is a professional trumpeter,
and has produced large-scale events including the Federal Express Orange Bowl Half-Time,
Superbowl Pre-Game, the Coconut Grove Arts Festivals Entertainment and Arts EXPO, and
served as Community College Co-Chair for the Florida Sub-Committee for Film, Television, and
Entertainment. DeWitt completed Broward Alliance's prestigious Senior Executive Orientation in
the spring of 2006. In 1994, DeWitt served as National Manager of Education for American
Music, a company wholly owned by Guitar Center, Inc. where he orchestrated a successful,
strategic business overhaul of the company's music learning centers.

DeWitt began his career at Coral Gables Senior High School, where he chaired the largest and
most successful Fine Arts departments in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Under his
direction, the Band of Distinction received numerous local, state, and national awards.

DeWitt and his business partner, Drew Cummings, were recently appointed U.S. and
International Film and Entertainment Commissioners to the Dominican Republic, where they
have served as advisors to President, Leonel Fernandez, on Education, Cultural, and
Entertainment issues.
